FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything you need to know

Can I participate without an FIM license?

Yes! 24MX ALESTREM is open to everyone. Riders without an FIM license can participate in the NATIONAL (RED), VETERAN (BLUE), WOMEN (PINK) or JUNIOR (GREEN) categories with an FFM license (NCO or LJA). Only riders registered for the World Championship need an FIM license.

How do I qualify for the Sunday Main Event?

All riders participate in the XTREM TEST on Friday. The top 100 advance directly to Saturday's PROLOGUE. Riders ranked 101 to 201 get a "second chance" through repechage races. Finally, all riders can participate in Sunday's Main Event, with starting order determined by previous days' results.

What's the difference between GREEN and BLUE tape courses?

The GREEN tape course is the "standard" route of approximately 30 km per lap, already very demanding. NATIONAL category riders complete 3 identical GREEN laps. The BLUE tape course is reserved for laps 2 and 3 of the TOP 150 riders: it's much more difficult with extreme technical sections. Lap 1 is identical for everyone (GREEN tape).

Can I bring spectators?

Yes! The event is open to the public at €20/day or €30 for a 3-day pass. New spectator viewing points will be set up to offer optimal views of the most spectacular sections. Entertainment will be provided throughout the weekend. Remember to book your accommodation in advance in the Alès and Cévennes area.

Are electric motorcycles allowed?

Yes, approved and registered electric motorcycles are permitted.

Is there live streaming of the event?

Yes! Sunday's race (Main Event) will be broadcast LIVE on YouTube. We'll share all the details on our social media, so make sure to follow us!

What skill level do I need to participate?

24MX ALESTREM is an EXTREME enduro event. You need excellent obstacle-clearing skills and very good physical fitness. If you're new to hard enduro, we strongly recommend first participating in the S3 ALESTREM XPERIENCE (January 2026) which offers 3 adjustable difficulty levels and will help you assess your abilities.

How should I prepare my bike for the event?

Your bike must comply with FFM or FIM regulations depending on your category.

MANDATORY equipment: Front strap (for marshal assistance), extreme enduro tires (trials tires prohibited). Strongly recommended: Complete service, new extreme-range tires, suitable BIB Mousse, reinforced engine protection. Sound check: 109 dB/A + 2.0 before race, 111 dB/A + 1.0 after race (2mMax method).
